Ask a privacy question

Switch eLearning operates Switch Learn. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the portal, take a course, administer an organisation account or buy a course for yourself.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Switch Learn, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, username and organisation;
  • course enrolments, attempts, progress, answers, scores, completion dates and certificates;
  • account and security records, including sign-in activity, IP address, browser and device information;
  • orders, payment status and transaction references when you purchase a course; and
  • messages and information you give us when asking for support.

We do not store your full card details. Payments are handled by our payment provider.

Where it comes from

Information may come directly from you, from an organisation that creates or manages your account, from your activity inside a course, or from service providers that help us deliver email and payments.

How we use it

We use personal information to create and secure accounts, deliver courses, remember progress, assess completion, issue certificates, provide reports, send service messages, process purchases, answer support requests and maintain the safety and reliability of the portal.

Switch Learn automatically records course activity and applies the pass and completion rules set for each course. It does not use AI profiling to make employment, credit or eligibility decisions about learners.

Who can see it

Authorised Switch eLearning staff can access information when needed to operate and support the service. If your learning is provided through an employer or another organisation, its authorised administrators can see and manage information about your account, assigned courses, progress, results and certificates.

We also use trusted providers for hosting, email and payments. We share only what they need to perform those services. We may disclose information where required or authorised by law.

Storage and overseas services

The main Switch Learn service is hosted in Australia. Some supporting providers, including email and payment services, may process information in other countries, including the United States. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect information handled on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep information while it is needed to provide the service, meet an organisation’s training and audit requirements, keep transaction records, resolve disputes and comply with the law. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove identifying details. An organisation providing your training may have its own retention requirements.

Access, correction and complaints

You can update basic account details in Switch Learn. To request access to other personal information, ask for a correction or make a privacy complaint, email support@switchelearning.com.au. Tell us enough to identify your account and explain what you need. We will respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Cookies

Switch Learn uses an essential cookie to keep your session secure and keep you signed in. An optional cookie can remember your username. We do not use advertising cookies in the portal.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or our information practices change. The current version and its update date will always appear on this page.
